To ensure the smooth functioning of the storekeeping activities, security, and reception . -Checks the manpower status -In case of shortages, liases with the security & housekeeping supervisors to get people -Trains the housekeeping and security staff whenever any new persons join. -Checks up the grooming standards of the staff -Ensures cleanliness of the store, basement, car park, glass tops of fixtures, etc. -Monitors the work of the security and housekeeping staff by ensuring that the prepared monthly, weekly & hourly checklists for Housekeeping & Security are adhered to. -Sorts out customer issues wrt parking (e.g. parking fee, scratch on car etc.) -Handles shoplifters. Follows norms while questioning shoplifters -Conducts training for security staff on shoplifting, methods of questioning -Maintains crime-record register -Keeps store under surveillance at all points of time. -Keeps a daily count of customer entry, vehicle entry -Liases with RTO, Civil Police for parking requirements -Ensures safe custody of keys and maintains records of the same. -Conducts fire-fighting training for Retail & Security staff -Checks serviceability of fire-fighting equipment like sprinklers, hydrants, smoke detectors -Submits monthly returns a) Customer/ vehicle entry b) Beeps record c) Outstanding/ pending returnables d) Opening & closing of store e) Pilferage / shoplifting f) Overlook the functioning of the reception staff wrt their internal & external customer interactions & schedule their functioning as per the shifts To organize for purchase non-trading items, maintain fixed assets & organize for sale of scrap & fixed assets as & when need arises- - Negotiates with vendors for quotations -Raises POs for the purchase of printing, stationary, alteration slips, credit notes, goods acknowledgement notes and other such non-trading items for the unit. -Organizes materials required by other departments (e.g. Training equipment like LCD, PA system for certain launches etc) -Ensures incoming goods reach the concerned department, maintains the register & ensures invoices are signed off by concerned persons -Assesses the consumption of shopping bags, GVs, suggestion forms etc. and procures the same -Ensures sale of scrap at best rates by calling for quotations (e.g. waste cartons, plastic, fixed assets) -Gets capital requisition of goods - gets approvals for amounts greater than Rs. 5000 -Maintains the fixed assets register, checks & maintains the fixed assets and gets approval from SO for disposal of fixed assets To ensure all statutory compliances wrt housekeeping, security & administration department are met.- - Maintains licenses like Administration office, cafeteria, DC etc. -Ensures preparation & renewal of housekeeping & security contracts -Ensures payment of taxes of company vehicles like payment of taxes for change of registration
Maintaining various books of accounts and assist in finalization of accounts periodically in compliance with accounting standards, Knowledge of income tax, sales tax, service tax, TDS and VAT refunds, Finalization of balance sheets & profit and loss account at periodical intervals, MIS reporting monthly financials with various operational analysis & variance analysis with the company.
