About Barara Village: The village has been host to IFYE (International Farm Youth Exchange) delegates from USA since 1964. These delegates used to stay with the highly educated and leading agriculturist family of this village. The village has been visited by two Governors namely B. Gopala Reddy and Mr. Akbar Ali Khan besides so many dignitories from foreign countries including the great economist Lord Robbins, British Overseas Development Minister Mrs. Barbara Castles and Deputy Primeminister of Australia Mr. Jim Cairns. The shooting of two Bollywood movies namely \"Jahan Ara\" and \"Dharati Ki Goad Mein\" also took place in this village. A very peaceful coexistence with perfect harmony between all communities of this village hence no communcal or caste based violance occured. The village is self sufficient in self defence and as a result, so far, no dacoity has ever taken place in the village. Location:- This historical village has a legacy.it is the third largest village of Agra. it has always a pioneer in agriculture. Situated between Agra and heritage city of Fatehpur Sikri, Barara village is 12 Km from Agra. Having so many considerations in mind the authorities decided to select/declare it a\"Tourist Village\". It is well connected to NH 11 with a good road.
