Aotearoa Surf School provides a range of services to suit any age or experience level. Whether you want to start surfing from scratch, organize a team building weekend away for your staff or give your children the experience of a lifetime at our summer camp, we can cater to your every need - just ask and we will deliver! All equipment provided. We have qualified instructors who are passionate about teaching people how to surf at any age or level of experience, with courses starting from complete beginner right through to top-level competition coaching. All equipment is provided - no need for you to worry about bringing anything other than your enthusiasm! Aotearoa Surf is New Zealand’s #1 surf school, operating out of the most beautiful beaches along the East Coast such as Te Arai and Mangawhai, just 60 minutes North of Auckland’s CBD. The Surf Sistas Club is an ongoing weekly surfing program designed to help women of all ages and skill levels learn to surf, improve their surfing skills and build more confidence in the ocean. Regular attendees will be able to track their improvement on a week-by-week and month-by-month basis. BEGINNERS GROUP: Beach awareness, understanding the wind and waves, oceans and tides and staying safe at the beach. Surfboard design and use, sea entry and correct surfboard handling. Catching waves with correct body and hand position, stopping your surfboard. Catching waves with paddling technique, learning the pop up to stand technique. Standing surfing position and riding a wave for as long as possible. Better paddling techniques for speed and efficiency. Getting out past breaking waves. WOMEN S WELLNESS WEEKENDS Escape your every-day routine with an incredible group of like-minded, ocean-loving women! Following on from our popular Surf Sistas women’s only surf lessons, our Women’s Wellness Weekends are designed for all ages (adults 18+ only) and levels of surfer, from complete beginners to intermediates looking for progression and a whole lot of FUN. SURF SISTAS Learn to surf, build ocean confidence and have fun with the girls! Get out in the water consistently and improve your surfing skills with our Surf Sistas girls only surfing club.
