Quick 857dw+ Lead Free Adjustable Smd Rework Station 100% Original The Quick 857DW+ is a staple in the electronics repair industry, widely regarded as a "workhorse" for SMD (Surface Mount Device) rework. It balances a relatively affordable price point with the high-caliber performance needed for lead-free soldering and delicate component removal. Below is the full technical and functional breakdown of the 100% original Quick 857DW+. Quick 857DW+ Product Overview The 857DW+ is a lead-free adjustable hot air station featuring a high-power heating element and a unique rotating airflow system. Unlike cheaper diaphragm pump stations, the 857DW+ utilizes a linear blower that provides a smoother, more consistent air stream, which is critical when working around tiny components that might otherwise be blown off the PCB. Technical Specifications Feature Specification Details Model Quick 857DW+ Power Consumption 580W Temperature Range 100°C – 450°C (212°F – 842°F) Airflow Type Linear Blower (Spiral Wind) Air Volume Capacity 100 Liters per minute (Max) Heating Element Ceramic Heater (High-quality metal heating core) Display Type LED Digital Display (for Temperature) Noise Level ? 78 dB Handle Length 110 cm (including air hose) Dimensions 170 x 105 x 240 mm Weight Approx. 2.4 kg Core Functional Features Closed-Loop Sensor Control: The temperature is controlled by a closed-loop sensor, ensuring that the output remains stable regardless of the air volume being used. Rapid Heating: The 580W ceramic core allows the station to reach its target temperature within seconds of being turned on. Automatic Cooling System: When the handle is placed back in the holder, the station enters an automatic cooling mode. It continues to blow cold air until the heating element drops below 100°C, significantly extending the life of the heater. Magnetic Induction Switch: The handle contains a magnetic sensor that triggers "Sleep Mode" immediately upon docking, saving energy and improving safety. Spiral Wind Technology: The air is delivered in a "spiral" or rotating fashion. This distributes heat more evenly across the component pins, reducing the risk of localized overheating or "popcorning" of ICs.
