Prepaid Meter Recovering electricity dues remain one of the major challenges in the power sector. Most distribution companies face serious problems in recovering electricity bills especially from government departments / apartment blocks / commercial complex etc. ElMeasure has developed a unique 3 in 1 Contactless Prepaid Energy Meter were in process parameters such as water, gas etc can be integrated and its consumption can be monitored along with electrical parameters. The design is completely microcontroller based thus providing an effective and reliable solution to the service providers. The service provider needs to just install the meter and further activities involve the consumer. It is sufficient for the service provider to have just one manpower to recharge the card as per the consumer’s request. The consumer will have to display the card in the front fascia of the meter for three seconds. The advanced microcontroller electronics inside the meter stores the number of units recharged and measures the energy consumption. When the purchased units are used up by the consumer the meter disconnects the power supply until the next recharge.
