In Pit type Weighbridge the weighing platform / deck is flushed with ground level. Platform structure and load cells are not visible and present under platform in pit. The manhole entry is provided for maintenance purpose. Pit mounted weighbridges are flush with the ground. As a result they pose no restrictions to vehicles and are therefore particularly useful at sites where vehicle flow can be in multiple directions. Pit mounted steel weighbridges are ideal for applications with heavy traffic and limited space. ADORN Pit type Weighbridges are designed for heavy usage and harsh environment. In Pitless Weighbridge the weighing platform and load cells are mounted above the ground level. This type of weighbridge is most suitable where the excavation work for foundation is difficult or construction of pit is expensive. Since the structure is above ground level, vehicles can approach the weighbridge only from two directions where the ramps are provided. This type of weighbridge requires more space. Pitless type weighbridges are easy to maintain as all electronics components and weighbridge structure are accessible above ground level. They also offer very good services in water logging areas.
